Those who are fans of addicting single-player gems will not be disappointed with what Shape Rush! has to offer. Developed for the Anrdoid operating system, the premise behind this platform is deceptively simple.

Players will need to match incoming shapes by pressing and holding the screen for a certain amount of time. The computer will generate either a square or a circle. As the levels increase, the time provided between the presentation of the shapes decreases (as hinted at in the title). While there is no end to this game, the ultimate goal is to beat a previous high score.

A Simple Premise

This platform seems to be based off of its ease of use. There are no intricate graphics nor are detailed story lines present. Anyone who is a fan of this genre should be impressed with what Shape Rush! has in store. Likewise, the colours themselves are quite subdued. Either a turquoise square or a circle will appear in the central part of the screen. A vertical line runs through all shapes present. The user needs to click on the desired shape in order for it to match what the computer puts forth.

Shape Rush! is intended to be used only with Android operating systems. It requires Android 2.3.3 or higher. It is distributed by Minimalist Games and was last updated on 16 November 2015. As the file size of only 4.9 megabytes is relatively small, it does not take up a large amount of memory. This may be a concern for those who already have a number of complex applications on their mobile phones.

While this platform is not nearly as intricate as some of the other smartphone gaming applications, its simplicity is nonetheless quite challenging. Fans of mental teasers have therefore enjoyed the game play. To date, there have been more than 50,000 downloads.
